The old aunt in Oslo - Aftenposten - is celebrating 150 years and is pleased to be hosting this year's SNDS Workshop: Opera - storytelling in multiple channels.
SNDS is the Scandinavian department of the international network Society for News Design and has members from a wide range of occupations in the news industry - newspapers, magazines and Internet.
Take the opportunity to be updated and inspired to renewed effort in a changing media landscape.
This year's workshop will take place at the Hotel Opera in Oslo, 30. September - 2. October 2010.

After the opening in 2008, Oslo Opera House soon became a landmark. Designed by the Norwegian architectural firm Snøhetta, the spectacular building houses The Norwegian National Opera & Ballet. With three stages and state-of-the-art equipment the building make spossible a variety of performances andproductions. As the first opera house in the world to let visitors walk on the roof, Oslo Opera House also has become a major tourist attraction.
SNDS members: 795 EURO including the total program and meals from Thursday to Saturday.
Non-members: 895 EURO including the total program and meals from Thursday to Saturday. Such participation will include one year membership and the fee for members at the next year's SNDS workshop.
One day ticket: 390 EURO, for members and non-members, includes the conference program and lunch Friday October 1. Dinner is not included.

A guided tour into the Norwegian Opera is included in the participation fee, but you have to register due to limited number of places (50).

You can book airline ticket on the registration site. Most major airports in the Nordic countries have direct flights to Oslo Airport, Gardermoen. Both hotels are located within walking distance to the Airport Express terminal at Oslo Central Station.
